The historical contributions of Church of Ireland members, both before and after the Reformation, to the life of the city of Dublin and the Vale of Glendalough, were honoured with the launch of two new books from Four Courts Press last Thursday evening (21st November).
At a reception on Monday evening last week (17th June), the RCB Library marked the installation of the Bartlett Collection (being the library of the late Canon Professor John Bartlett) in the former College of Education Chapel which is now part of the Church of Ireland campus at Rathmines.
Bishop Michael Burrows has paid tribute to the late Dr David Lawrence who – in a project spanning almost a quarter of a century from 1991 to 2017 – photographed and researched some 3,000 windows throughout the Church of Ireland.

A bright mid–spring evening and the Georgian setting of Armagh Robinson Library set the scene for the launch of Dr Michael O’Neill’s ‘An Architectural History of the Church of Ireland’ on Tuesday evening (18th April).
‘An Architectural History of the Church of Ireland’, which was launched in Dublin on Tuesday evening (28th March), is a study of the contribution of the Church of Ireland to the landscape of the island in terms of churches, glebe houses and cathedrals using the records of the institution and discussing this within the context of its wider history.
