Safe return

SAFE RETURN

The safe that was stolen from Annaghmore Parish Church (Armagh diocese) on the 24th January has been recovered. It was found in a disused farm shed near Moy in County Tyrone. The parish records, which date back to 1856, were still inside the safe and have now been returned to the Rector, the Revd Paul Whittaker. Some of the registers were a bit damp but are currently being dried out. The parish and diocese are delighted at the news that this important record of local parish history is back in church hands.
