Bishop–elect Orr looks forward to ‘charting a future with confidence’

Archdeacon Andrew Orr is Bishop–elect of Cork, Cloyne and Ross. He will succeed Bishop Paul Colton who was twenty–seven years in the post and holds the record as the longest serving Bishop in Britain and Ireland.

Archdeacon Orr is married to Dean Susan Green and they have three children.

When he becomes a member of the Church of Ireland House of Bishops, he’ll join an old school chum, Bishop Andrew Forster from Derry and Raphoe Diocese. The two Andrews were eleven when they walked through the doors of Sullivan Upper School in Holywood, County Down.

Bishop–elect Orr has been talking to Ray Hayden.
