Christ Church Canons

The Archbishop of Dublin has announced two appointments to the Chapter of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin. Canon Professor Anne Lodge has been appointed Canon Treasurer and the Revd Rob Jones has been appointed the 12th Canon.

Anne Lodge has served the cathedral both as its inaugural Priest Scholar and as a member of the Chapter. This she has done in a voluntary capacity in addition to her full–time duties in Dublin City University and as Director of The Church of Ireland Centre. She will be Canon Treasurer in succession to the Very Reverend Tom O’Brien, now Dean of Christ Church.

Rob Jones has served the diocese over many years in a variety of parochial and strategic capacities.  He is currently Rector of Rathmines with Harold’s Cross and is also the National Director of the Church of Ireland’s new Pioneer Ministry initiative.

Their appointments came into effect on 1 September and they will be installed on a date to be determined by the new Dean following his installation in October.

St Mary’s Cathedral, Limerick has announced the appointment of its second Artist in Residence, Ms Ester Redlichová. Ester will begin her residency in Mid–September and will continue until the end of October. The theme of her residency will be ‘Impressions of Memory & Sacred Space’.

Ester Redlichová is a Limerick City–based visual artist working out of Wickham Street Studios. A graduate of the Limerick School of Art and Design, her multi–disciplinary work spans printmaking, painting, analogue media, and socially engaged practice.

Redlichová’s work explores the intersections of physical space, material memory, and community narrative. A member of Visual Artists Ireland, her practice frequently moves between studio work and collaborative public engagement, creating participatory spaces that invite people to connect with local heritage and landscape. She exhibits regularly both locally and internationally, and has completed residency training through the Teacher–Artist Partnership (TAP+) programme.
