SUMMER MADNESS 2001
Summer Madness 2001 has moved to the King’s Hall Belfast (Friday 29th - Tuesday 3rd July) In keeping with current Church of Ireland guidelines and in consultation with the Department of Agriculture Summer Madness, Ireland’s largest Christian youth festival, has moved the 2001 event, Keeping it Real, to the King’s Hall, Belfast. The relocation of this year’s festival to an urban location is in direct response to the ongoing Foot and Mouth situation and enables the festival organisers to support local farmers in this difficult time whilst providing an exciting and dynamic opportunity for a fresh, new look to the event. It was always going to take a special site to accommodate a main programme that runs for 18 hours a day with a wide range of worship, seminar and arts venues, activities, cafés, and camping facilities... the King’s Hall is all that... And more... With Phil Collins and Phil Jinadu confirmed as this year’s speakers, Ian Hanna and Andrew Flannagan lined up to lead Worship and an Arts programme that boasts, amongst others, The Tribe, TVB and Tomorrow’s Girl, Summer Madness 2001 promises to be our best ever year! Alongside the core Worship and Arts programme, Summer Madness 2001 also offers a host of other Seminar and Late Night Venues (including the ever popular Soul Food Café, The Space, TearFund Movie Zone, Dr Livingston’s Good Time Emporium, YouthLink, No Matter Wot, and The Pulse) designed to cater for all tastes and styles!
