Bishop invites you to 'Change the World in your Coffee Break'

The staff of the newly refurbished Church of Ireland Diocesan Centre on London Street, Londonderry are inviting everyone to coffee on Wednesday morning, 16 May, between 10.30am and noon. The Centre is beside St Columb’s Cathedral gates on London Street.

As part of Christian Aid Week, there is an open invitation to everyone to enjoy a cup of Fairtrade coffee, to purchase Fairtrade goods and to have a look round the impressive new Centre. All proceeds will go to Christian Aid to help the Developing World.

The Bishop of Derry and Raphoe, Right Revd Ken Good, who looks forward to welcoming personally everyone who comes for coffee, is very positive about the event. He said: “Christian Aid is doing outstanding work in so many parts of a very needy world. By coming together for a cup of Fairtrade coffee people will not only be supporting a worthy cause, but will have an opportunity to meet others in the city and to see round one of the city’s historic buildings which has been given a new lease of life.”
