Dr Cecil Stewart to speak at a service in St Anne's Cathedral Belfast

Dr Cecil Stewart is guest speaker at service in St Anne’s Cathedral Belfast on Monday, 3 December 2007 at 8.00 p.m.

A warm welcome awaits everyone on Monday, 3 December 2007, at St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast.

The service, which begins at 8.00 p.m, is organised by ‘Divine Healing Ministries’ and will be led by Brother David Jardine. Guest speaker will be Dr. Cecil Stewart OBE.

Dr Stewart received an appreciative response when he spoke at St Anne’s earlier this year. Those who attended the service in May will recall his ministry as both inspirational and charged with hope.  On the topic of healing he speaks from personal experience, since as a young man he experienced a divine deliverance from depression as well as tuberculosis. His wife, Evelyn, also had a healing which has stood the test of time. Almost forty years ago consultants announced that her days were numbered after a diagnosis of incurable cancer. But after prayer, she made a rapid and total recovery. Earlier this year, the couple celebrated forty years of happy marriage.

The Irish businessman and evangelist is well known throughout Ireland and across Europe where he has recently returned from a speaking trip. He has also spoken at many prestigious venues in America.  However, for the past seven years, Africa has been a major focus of attention.  In addition to conducting seminars and missions on a huge scale, Dr Stewart has also been drawn to the plight of orphaned children, particularly from a poverty stricken slum which he visited. Appalled by their living conditions and with a great concern for their need, he has organised ongoing support for these vulnerable children, endeavouring to show them the pragmatic nature of Christian love.

Personal prayer and anointing with oil for healing will be available during the service.
