Down and Dromore MU to celebrate International Year of the Family at Hillsborough Parish

DOWN & DROMORE MOTHERS? UNION TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE FAMILY AT HILLSBOROUGH PARISH

On Saturday 18th September 2004 from 12 noon until 4.00 pm at Hillsborough Parish Church, Down & Dromore Mothers? Union will join with families and friends from throughout the diocese to celebrate the International Year of the Family at Hillsborough Parish Church.

Ms Linda Kerr, Northern Ireland Deputy Commissioner for Children, will be the guest speaker at this event.

The activities planned for the day include:

* Fancy Dress
* Face Painting
* Hand Painting
* Puppet Show
* Treasure Hunt
* Bran Tub
* Karaoke
* Music
* BBQ
* Teas

Admission to the event is free.

NOTES:

* The Mothers? Union is an organisation with over 3 million members who support families worldwide.
* This year is the tenth anniversary of the UN International Year of the Family and in response to this each Church of Ireland diocese is planning to hold a ?family day? in or around the weekend of 18th/19th September.
