Director of the Hard Gospel Project responds to attacks on Orange Halls

The Revd Earl Storey, Director of the Church of Ireland Hard Gospel Project, has responded to recent attacks on Orange Halls. He said:

“Successive attacks on Orange Halls in recent times represent an unacceptable attack upon the property of members of the community in Northern Ireland. These incidents are obviously designed to create strife and discord. The attacks are to be condemned. They represent an attempt to stir communal tensions, and as such offer nothing for the peace and wellbeing of all parts of our community. They also cause upset to the members of local Lodges that are affected. The restrained and dignified response by the Orange Order leadership in the face of such attacks is to be commended.”
