RTE Religious Services Move to Longwave

RTÉ is closing its medium wave transmitter on 24 March 2008 and is relocating the Sunday morning broadcast religious services to its Long Wave frequency.

Please follow this link for RTÉ’s guidelines on how to find the new location for the services on longwave.

Your diocesan office or Diocesan Communications Officer will have copies of the RTÉ information sheets available locally. Laminated copies of the notice are being supplied to parishes at the beginning of February.

RTÉ remains committed to maintaining broadcast religious services in their current form, and this service is highly valued by Churches and by listeners for whom they are an important resource.

RTÉ has provided several contact numbers for those seeking more information, or who want to communicate directly with someone in RTÉ – people should contact the RTÉ Information Unit on 01 208 3434, or can send an e-mail to [email protected]. There is also information on the RTÉ website: www.rte.ie/staytuned . Please follow this link to view a letter circulated to listeners to the broadcast religious services from RTÉ.
