Bishop of Derry & Raphoe response to Attack on Romanian family
“Our hearts go out to the Rostas family today. The citizens of this city want to assure this Romanian family that they are very welcome among us and that we deplore the attack on their home.
“Those who took it upon themselves to treat this family with such hostility do not reflect what the people of this city think or believe. This is a hate crime which brings shame on those who perpetrated it. It brings sadness to us all and makes us want to redouble our efforts to be a welcoming and compassionate community.”
