Former Royal Marine speaking at Healing Services
A former Royal Marine who served in Northern Ireland will be the speaker at Healing Services in Belfast on Monday and Tuesday, 28 and 29 April 2008.
The Reverend Nigel Mumford did three tours of duty here in the early 1970’s. Because of his experiences he was deeply traumatized and swore that he would never come back to Northern Ireland again. In 1980 he went to work in America and through the miraculous healing of his sister, was introduced to the ministry of Divine Healing. Now ordained in the Anglican Church Nigel is director of the healing ministry in the Diocese of Albany, U.S.A.
Last year, through an encounter with Harold Miller, Bishop of Down and Dromore, he came back to Northern Ireland for the first time in more than thirty years. It was not easy for him. The visit evoked many painful memories, but also a source of great healing. That healing is still an ongoing process but, because of his experiences, Nigel is being used to minister to soldiers who have been traumatized in Iraq and even Vietnam. The theme of his talks in Belfast will be ‘The Healing of Trauma’. Nigel will speak at three weekly services run by Divine Healing Ministries in Belfast:
Monday, 28 April
1.00 p.m. in St George’s Church, High Street, Belfast (near the Albert Clock)
8. 00 p.m. in St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast
Tuesday, 29 April
8.00 p.m. in St Finnian’s Church, Cregagh Road, Belfast
Personal prayer for healing and anointing with oil will be available at all the services. Brother David Jardine, organizer of the trip, says; “Nigel Mumford is a very good speaker. His own experience of healing will be of immense benefit to any in Northern who have suffered trauma in their lives.”
Refreshments will be served at the back of the Cathedral at the Monday night service and light lunch after the service in St George’s. All will be very welcome.
