'Building Blocks' - The National Children's Ministry Conference

'BUILDING BLOCKS' - THE NATIONAL CHILDREN'S MINISTRY CONFERENCE

If you are involved in ministry amongst children in your parish as a Sunday School teacher or Children's Club leader or maybe you are ordained or teach children in school then this is the conference for you. This is a conference that aims to support and encourage all those working with children in their local parish, school or community.

Following the great success of the National Children's Ministry Conference last year another conference is being planned by a group of representatives from various churches and organisations in Dublin and Belfast. The Church of Ireland is represented by Rev. Anne Taylor in Dublin and Rev. Ian Ellis in Belfast. The Building Blocks Children's Ministry Conference will again be held in two venues. The Dublin event will take place at St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra on Saturday 27th November, and the Northern conference at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, on Saturday 4th December.

The key-note speaker at both conferences will be Nick Harding, a children's ministry officer in the Church of England. Nick has written many worship songs for children and is the author of several books on topics such as all-age events and schools ministry. There will be a wide variety of seminars on topics such as teaching prayer, using drama and music, puppet ministry, new ideas for arts and crafts, ministry amongst pre-school children, nurturing faith and making the all-age church a reality.

Last year both conferences were fully booked and had to turn people away so if you are hoping to attend please book early to avoid disappointment. If you would like further information and a booking form please contact either of the following.

Dublin Conference - Rev. Anne Taylor 01-4905543
