Visit of the Lord Mayor of Dublin to Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin

On Monday 29 September, the Lord Mayor, Councillor Eibhlin Byrne, visited the cathedral, in particular to climb to the top of the spire to inspect the work being carried out on the Minot tower.

The Lord Mayor was met by the Dean’s Vicar, the Cathedral Administrator and Mr Alan McGrath from Conservation and Restoration. The weather was sunny although somewhat breezy. Councillor Byrne expressed her thanks to the Dean’s Vicar for the opportunity as Lord Mayor to view the city from a very unusual vantage-point.
