New banner for the Church of the Resurrection, Blarney (Cork, Cloyne & Ross)

The banner was created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the re-dedication of The Church of the Resurrection, Carrigrohane Union, Cork, Cloyne and Ross.

The words of the Scripture are painted on silk with a backdrop of the four seasons. Members of the parish were invited to make personal contributions in the form of textile squares. There are one hundred and twenty squares made by seventy five different people aged from six to eighty six. The whole project was co-ordinated by Janet Lane who made the centre panels and brought all the individual squares together.
