Archdeacon Comments on Petrol Bomb Attack at Clogh War Memorial Hall

Following a petrol bomb attack on a car parked outside Clogh War Memorial Hall, beside Holy Trinity Church of Ireland church (Aghadrumsee parish group), on Wednesday evening, 25 February 2009, the Archdeacon of Clogher, the Venerable Cecil Pringle, makes the following comment:

'It was distressing to hear of the incident which occurred outside Clogh War Memorial Hall on Wednesday as members of the local community played bowls inside. If the motive was either political or sectarian then that would be unfortunate. It must be hoped that after forty wasted years all people would see that the only way forward for any community is in reconciliation, mutual respect and tolerance. Fortunately there were no injuries.'
