Bishop of Derry: Statement on Garda Robert McCallion
Garda Robert McCallion
Statement by the Rt Revd Ken Good, Bishop of Derry & Raphoe
The community in Letterkenny and in the Diocese of Raphoe extends deepest sympathy to the family of Garda Robert McCallion.
Garda McCallion was performing his duties with professionalism and with dedication when he was needlessly and fatally injured. We are all much indebted to the Gardai for the way in which they carry out their work, not least when their own lives are endangered by so doing.
