Bishop Ken Good Condemns Attacks in Coleraine

Statement from the Rt Revd Ken Good, Bishop of Derry & Raphoe

'The appalling attacks on Kevin McDaid and Damien Fleming in Coleraine not only leave one family grieving and another waiting anxiously at a hospital bedside, but the brutality of the attacks also brings the utmost shame and disgrace on the perpetrators of these crimes.'

'This kind of violent aggression, apparently motivated by sectarian hatred, surely highlights once more a deep problem in our society. Those responsible must be brought to justice for what they have done.'

'My sympathy and prayers go out to the McDaid and the Fleming families in this dreadfully tragic situation.'
