Urban Soul 2009
Urban Soul, an active citizenship programme for teenagers 15 years old and above, organized by 3Rock, the Dublin Diocesan Youth Initiative, will be held from 7 to 10 July. Teenagers from Dublin, Belfast, United States, the UK and Africa who are passionate about social action will be coming together and working in projects like area clean-ups, painting over graffiti, and running community events in the Dublin area.

The underlying values that motivate Urban Soul are those taught and demonstrated by Jesus. His life and message show us that loving God is just the beginning and that we, too, are called to actively love those around us.   Through partnership with local communities Urban Soul seeks to deliver hope, bestow dignity, bring equality of opportunity and inspire long-term change.. The Urban Soul team is comprised of various traditions and nationalities all reaching to achieve the same goal.

Alongside working with communities, there will be events on in the evenings with notable speakers such as Mark Ritchie and Andy McCourt, as well as singers and musicians,  Paul Baloche, Kevin Max and Drive.

If you would like your youth to be involved in Urban Soul please feel free to apply. For further information contact: Susie Keane PR, Urban Soul, at 01 6394863/087 9444557 or visit the website: www.urbansoul.eu
