Get me to Church House on Time -- by Bike

The Revd Brian Harper, Rector of Mullavilly (Armagh Diocese) and Chairman of the Church of Ireland Marriage Council, recently tried out one of Dublin’s 450 new bikes available for hire to get from Connolly Station to Church of Ireland House, Rathmines. Making it across the city centre to the Church’s headquarters in Dublin 6 in about 10 minutes, renting the bike saved the cycling cleric time and kept his conscience clear on the environment.

‘It’s important to take environmental issues seriously,’ said Mr Harper, ‘Hiring the bike worked very well. I was very pleased to see this new initiative in Dublin. The bike got me to my meeting in good time, saved some money, and I got some exercise on the way.’
