In total 23 ordinands will be taking part, seven of whom are entering first year full time and five entering first year part time. In addition a further 28 students are taking part in the Foundation Year programme which is a prelude to and an integral part of the selection process for ministerial training. This will be the final year of the NSM programme which is to be integrated into the MTh course.
Following registration in Trinity College, the Dept of Religions and Theology will be hosting a lunch and students will also be given the opportunity to visit the Trinity Library. In the evening the RCB Library will be open until 7.30pm

Work has already begun on preparing for the third year internship programme which will begin next September. This will involve students being ordained as deacons at the beginning of their internship and spending the majority of their time learning practically in a variety of parochial and ministerial contexts. However, they will return to CITI for one week in each month and by the end of the year will be expected to have written up their MTh dissertations. The Revd Ted Woods, Rector of Rathfarnham and the Director of Ordinands for the Diocese of Dublin & Glendalough, has been appointed Internship Co-ordinator. This is a part time post which he will hold in association with his parochial responsibilities.
