The Bishop of Clogher, the Right Revd Dr Michael Jackson, recently dedicated the two-storey building at a special service and ceremony of dedication. The Rural Dean, the Revd Canon Stanley Bourke, officiated at the rectory and conducted a Service in Devenish Parish Church afterwards. The Rector’s  hurchwarden, Mr Eric Whittaker, invited Bishop Jackson to dedicate the Rectory. Following the dedication, two senior parishioners, Ms Caroline Britton and Mr Albert Lucy cut the tape to mark the completion of the Rectory. Young people, Emma Little and James McKee, presented them with gifts.

The contractor, Mr Eamon O’Neill, handed over the keys to the glebewardens, Mr Eric Whittaker and Ms Eileen Little. Following the service at which the Bishop preached, the congregation returned to the Reade Hall for tea and speeches. Devenish parish secretary, Mr David Scott, gave a short history of the project and gifts were presented by the glebe wardens to the architect, Mr Chris Allen, and contractor, Mr Eamon O‘Neill.
