Cork Hospital Chaplains meet to celebrate the Eucharist, pray and eat on St Luke's Day, 2010

On St Luke’s Day, 18 October, a number of the Healthcare Chaplains in the Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross gathered at St Fin Barrre’s Cathedral to share in the eucharist. St Luke is considered to be the patron of healthcare. During the eucharist in the Dean’s Chapel at which the Dean of Cork, Nigel Dunne presided, prayers were offered for all involved in healthcare ministry, for all who work in the medical profession and for all who are ill in body, mind or spirit. Following the eucharist the chaplains shared lunch together. Thank you to the Dean and to the Cathedral for their invitation and hospitality.
