Inishmacsaint Parish Concert (Clogher)

A most enjoyable evening took place in Inishmacsaint Parish Church recently. The church was filled with people from the parish and neighbouring churches as well as various parts of Clogher Diocese. Some came from other parts of the province and from Sligo and Donegal.

The music was presented by Mrs Gillian Rutherford, Parish Organist and Conductor, who prepared a choir of over two dozen, almost all of whom are parishioners. The choir began with "Rejoice the Lord is King", followed by "Lion of Judah". There was a variety of songs expressing themes of praise, thanksgiving and experience of God in our lives. A goup of young people sang "Joy in my heart". It was very moving to hear the beautiful voice of seven year old Catherine Graham as she sang "It is no secret". There were lighter moments with a drama performed by young people and the concluding "Nessun Dorma" by a group of men.

A sum of £1,900 was raised from the evening.
