New Biblical Association Mooted
Dr Jonathan Silverman, from the School of Religions and Theology in Trinity College, Dublin, is part of a working group which is seeking to establish a Biblical Association of the Church of Ireland and he is soliciting expressions of interest and involvement from all interested parties in the Church.

The association aims to enrich and deepen the use of the Bible in the Church of Ireland by encouraging rigorous and faith-based biblical study. . The group's inaugural project is to encourage collective reflection on the theme of Creation during Lent 2011, in tandem with the Bible in the Life of the Church Task 1. Suggested passages, questions, reflections, and methods of feedback will be provided for the use of parishes and dioceses. The results of this work will thFen be presented to the General Synod in conjunction with a proposal for continuation. For more information on this initiative, to offer assistance, or to join the group's mailing list, please contact [email protected] or visit the temporary website at http://bibliahibernica.wordpress.com.
