The Archdeacon of Glendalough, the Ven Ricky Rountree was greatly shocked to hear of the tragic fire at a prefabricated building at the rear of Christ Church, Bray in the early hours of this morning.  Greater shock was to follow with the discovery of a body in the burned out building.  Sympathy is expressed to the family of the deceased (as yet unknown) and to the parishioners of Christ Church Bray, their Rector, Rev Baden Stanley, and to the wider community.

A Service of Reflection will be held in Christ Church, Bray tomorrow at 8.00pm.  This will be an opportunity for parishioners , members of the local community and others to  remember the tragic loss of life and to help deal with the shock & sadness of such an event.

The burned out building was normally used as a venue for the parish Sunday School, and our thoughts are also with the children and leaders who normally use this building.
