U.S. honours for Archbishop Eames

Two prestigious theological foundations in the United States have announced the award of honorary degrees to the Church of Ireland Primate, Archbishop Robin Eames.

Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and the Virginia Theological Seminary, Washington D.C., will each confer the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity on Archbishop Eames this October.

The citation in each case refers to the Archbishop?s ?outstanding leadership and contribution to the life of the Anglican Communion.?

On Sunday next, the Archbishop will preach at the National Cathedral, Washington D.C. and later deliver lectures on the future of the Anglican Communion at both Yale and the Virginia Seminary.
