Bishop Ken Good has welcomed the appointment of the Revd Canon Dr Kenneth Kearon to Limerick and Killaloe as bishop elect, following the electoral college in the same diocese on the 8 September 2014.

‘I warmly welcome the Revd Canon Dr Kenneth Kearon’s appointment as bishop of Limerick and Killaloe.

‘I have known Dr Kearon since his time as Dean of Residence in Trinity College, as Director of the Irish School of Ecumenics, and more recently in his role as Secretary General of the Anglican Communion.

‘Dr Kearon brings with him a great wealth of experience in pastoral ministry and in academia, both of which will be of real benefit to the Church of Ireland and to the wider community.

‘I look forward to working alongside Kenneth in the House of Bishops and I assure him and his family of my prayers for all that lies ahead.’
