Ordination of the Revd Ruth O’Kelly, Dioceses of Meath and Kildare

Monday 22 September saw the Ordination of Rev Ruth O’Kelly as a Deacon–Intern. The Service took place in All Saints Church, Mullingar. This was the first Ordination conducted by Bishop Pat Storey, the Church of Ireland Bishop of Meath and Kildare.

The preacher at the Service was the Revd Garth Bunting (Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin). Ruth was joined by her husband Martin, close family, friends and colleagues from around the diocese.

Originally from Artane in Dublin Ruth has been training on a part time basis at the Church of Ireland Theological Institute for ordination.
