Braemor Studies Booklet Launched
Last Tuesday the fourth booklet in the Braemor Studies Series was launched in the Church of Ireland Theological Institute. Occupy Faith: The Movement of Movements and its Implications for Christian Practice has been written by the Revd Rob Clements who is currently a curate in Enniskillen. This study of the Occupy Movement, which gained much prominence in Great Britain and Ireland as a result of the protest outside St Paul’s cathedral, London, in October 2011, was launched by the British journalist and activist, Symon Hill, who is associate director of the left wing Christian think tank, Ekklesia.
The Braemor Studies Series was conceived by the Literature Committee of the General Synod which has, as part of its remit, a responsibility to promote church related publication. Its suggestion that the best of the dissertations by final year students in CITI should be published was enthusiastically received by the Institute which, each year, makes a selection. The texts are edited by the Church of Ireland Publications Officer, Dr Susan Hood, and are published by Church of Ireland Publishing.
Copies of the Braemor Studies Series may be had from the Church of Ireland Theological Institute ([email protected]) or from the Church of Ireland Publications Officer ([email protected]).
