Mabweni Sponsored Cyclists
On a wet and very windy Saturday 28 March, about twenty hardy souls from the diocese of Tuam, Killala and Achonry set out to cycle the Greenway from Newport to Mullranny and back to Newport, some 36 kilometers, in an effort to raise funds for TKA’s overseas mission project in Kenya.
Conditions were trying, to say the least. But TKA folk are fighters and those who started, completed the course. ‘Not one of them was lost’ (to paraphrase the gospel story), though several may have wished, by the half way mark, that they HAD gotten lost!
