‘Jungle Jamboree’ – Children’s Holiday Club at St Fachtna’s Cathedral, Ross

July and August are the months for children’s holiday clubs in the United Dioceses of Cork, Cloyne and Ross. One such club, currently under way in Rosscarbery, County Cork has adopted the theme ‘Jungle Jamboree’.

The narthex (large entrance area) of Saint Fachtna’s Cathedral, Ross has been transformed to suit the theme and the club is running for children of the parish and area this week. The Bishop dropped in to say ‘hello’ on Tuesday, 21st July but retreated rapidly when he saw a massive jungle spider!
