Bishop of Cork Licenses New Diocesan Reader and Deacon

On Sunday, 30th August, Sabrina Cooke–Nivet was licensed as a Diocesan Reader by the Bishop of Cork, the Right Reverend Dr Paul Colton, during the Parish Eucharist in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Frankfield, Cork. Members of Sabrina’s family were present.

Afterwards, the Reverend David Bowles, made and subscribed the Declarations, and was licensed by the Bishop to serve as a Deacon in the Diocese. David and Michelle Bowles and their children have just moved house from Dublin, and David will commence ministry as curate–assistant of Douglas Union, with Frankfield on Tuesday next, 1st September.

David’s ordination to the priesthood will be on St Fin Barre’s Day, Friday, 25th September, at 7.30 p.m. in St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, Cork.
