A visit by President of Ireland Michael D Higgins to Enniskillen on Wednesday (16th September) affirmed the warm relations between the community’s local churches and complemented HM the Queen’s diamond jubilee visit in 2012.

A symbolic walk across the street with clergy from St Michael’s Roman Catholic Church to St Macartin’s Cathedral illustrated that Enniskillen is one community together.  The President is pictured above with the Very Revd Kenneth Hall, Dean of St Macartin’s, and Monsignor Peter O’Reilly, parish priest of St Michael’s.
