‘Sun–Up’ Easter Service in West Cork

Despite a very poor weather forecast, Sun Up – the Cork Diocesan Youth Council annual celebration of Easter at the Warren, Rosscarbery, County Cork – proved as popular as ever this year.

Nearly 40 young people stayed overnight in the parish hall in Rosscarbery before joining more parishioners and friends for the Eucharist on the Warren Beach at 6.30 am on Easter Day. It was dark as the Service began but gradually the light dawned.

Fortunately the rain stayed away and afterwards everyone enjoyed a wonderful outdoor Easter breakfast.
