The Archbishops of Armagh, the Most Revd Dr Richard Clarke and the Most Revd Eamon Martin, were interviewed during their Somme pilgrimage for BBC Radio 4’s Sunday programme (at 7.30am) and BBC Radio Ulster’s Sunday Sequence programme (at 8.46am).

A full selection of photographs from the pilgrimage, including visits to Glasnevin Cemetery, Thiepval, Ypres and Messines, are available on the Church of Ireland’s flickr website.

Sunday Sequence also featured an interview with the Dean of Belfast, the Very Revd John Mann, in which he discussed the Books of the Irish War Dead.  These are contained within a war memorial lectern in St Anne’s Cathedral, donated by the officers of the 36th (Ulster) Division.
