St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, is providing a space for prayers for those who have been injured or bereaved in the attack during the Bastille Day Celebrations in Nice, France, last night.

Officials say 84 people died in the attack, with a further 50 people injured.

Candles are burning in the Cathedral’s Chapel of the Holy Spirit for the victims of this latest terror attack and all victims of violence.

Those wishing to pray and reflect can also light a candle of their own. Vases have also been provided for those who may wish to bring flowers.

Belfast Cathedral, known locally as St Anne’s, is a Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, shared between the two dioceses of Connor and Down & Dromore which cover the city which it serves.
