Death of Canon Noel Moore
The death has taken place of the Reverend Canon Richard Noel Moore, who passed away peacefully at his home, Evergreen House, 37 Mullanahoe Road, Tamnavalley, Ardboe, Dungannon on Tuesday 26th July.
Canon Moore was ordained for the curacy in the Parish of Templemore (Saint Columb’s Cathedral, Londonderry) on 21st September 1957. He was Rector of the Parish of Clondehorkey (Ballymore) from 1960–1966, Rector of The Parish of Stranorlar from 1966–1976, and Rector of The Parishes of Glendermott and Newbuildings 1976–2000.
Canon Moore was pre–deceased by his wife Barbara, who died on 20th November 2009. He is survived by his daughter Caroline. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held in Saint Andrew’s Church, Killyman on Friday 29th July at 2.00p.m., followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.
