Local Partnerships. A Theological and Pastoral Reflection has been produced by the Social Justice and Theology Group (Republic of Ireland) which is part of the General Synod?s Church in Society Committee. Chaired by the Dean of Leighlin, the Very Revd Gordon Wynne, the mission of the group is to ?provide where possible pro-active, as well as reflective theological comment, on contemporary issues of social justice within the Republic of Ireland, and where relevant to make suggestions on possible courses of action?
This booklet explores the biblical imperatives and theological perspectives that motivate local partnership, which is seen as a dynamic area of Christian witness, and makes suggestions about how Church members can volunteer for practical service to those in need in their locality.
