Church of Ireland Notes from 'The Irish Times'

APCK logo goes on Search

The editorial committee of the Church of Ireland journal, Search, headed by chairman, the Revd Professor John Bartlett and editor, the Revd Ginnie Kennerley, has announced that the journal is now to be published by APCK (the Association for Promoting Christian Knowledge). The arrangement begins with the spring edition, out now. It is, believed that APCK is the right home for Search as the publisher and the journal share the same aims: to make available theological and educational information, to raise the level of theological awareness, and to stimulate thinking in this area.
Distribution will continue as normal, except that former editor, the Very Revd Stephen White, has taken over the mailing list and the accounts - subscriptions should be sent to him at The Deanery, Killaloe, Co. Clare.
This spring edition, Search, vol. 30.1, offers a varied collection of articles ranging from eucharistic sharing, through biblical symbolism, theological education, the Anglican contribution to Irish culture in the early 20th century, styles of worship, and our response to the atheism of the Far East. Contributors include Andrew Pierce, Adrian Empey, Ferdinand von Prondzinski, David Godfrey, Ron Elsdon, Aonghus Dwane, David Kerr and Jerusha McCormack. The Book Review section is now edited by Dr David Hutchinson Edgar of TCD.
Further information is available on the journal's website, www.searchjournal.ireland.anglican.org
