Church Mission Society Mbraces new future at international conference
On Friday, 28th September 2007 CMS Ireland welcomes its partners to the mbrace conference in the Armagh City Hotel.
The one-day Conference forms part of a week-long programme focusing on shared projects and mission objectives including evangelism, education, healthcare, mission education and leadership training. Of particular interest will be seminar issues around protest theology, gender issues, environmental issues and fresh expressions and emerging church in the mission context. These are new areas of engagement that will be opened up in coming years.
The mbrace conference includes delegates from many of the countries in which CMS Ireland has partner links, along with representatives from link parishes in Ireland. At the public worship event on Friday evening at 7.30 p.m. in the Armagh City Hotel, CMS Ireland is commissioned for the future. "This should be a fantastic day because it has God's mission at its core", says CMS Ireland's Head of Mission, Ian Smith.
