New Youth Initiative in Dublin & Glendalough

The Archbishop of Dublin, Dr John Neill, has announced the appointment of Gregory Fromholz to the position of Director of the Diocesan Youth Initiative which is to be called 3Rock. The appointment is one of the key recommendation of the Diocesan Forum of 2001. The Archbishop has said that the appointment to this vital position of someone who brings a wealth of experience of working with young people, an understanding of their needs, and an ability to interpret effectively different settings, opens a new exciting chapter for the dioceses.

Gregory Fromholz’s formative years were spent in the United States but he and his family now live in Co. Wicklow. He has twelve years experience, mostly in Dublin, of working with young people in the 12 to 24 age group. He has created youth programmes for churches of different denominations including school retreats, contemporary music and worship events and evangelistic work. He has set up well known Dublin based youth events such as Xposure and has been a creative influence in Summer Madness, now a well established Church of Ireland youth event.

He may be contacted atDublin Youth Officer or at 01-473 5100.
